At the first Spokane SOUP, our pitch presenters were Manzanita House, Nadia Hitchcock Design, River City Youth, and Spark Central.
Submit your pitch!
Our proposal window will be open until July 26, 2026.
INFORMATION ON PROPOSAL SUBMISSION & SELECTION
SOUP is a great way to raise money, build community support, and get connections to local resources that can help you carry out your project.
The idea must be about the 1,781 square miles of Spokane County - including all incorporated and unincorporated communities.
Your idea can be about ANYTHING - the only criteria is that your idea be in the idea stage…not yet established. (If you are unsure if your pitch is in the idea stage - reach out to us or attend a SOUP Simmer Session to talk it through!
The funding received will depend on the number of people that attend any Spokane SOUP event. For example, if 50 people attend, your idea may receive $750, or if 300 people attend, your idea would receive $4,500. We had 225 people register for our first Spokane SOUP and the grant amount received was $3,309.80. You get the door money if your idea receives the most votes.
Your proposal doesn’t need to be a novel. Keep it short, quick and to the point! You have 4 minutes to present at the dinner. We DO NOT use technology to present (aka PowerPoint or things that are based on the idea of the projector).
We will coordinate accommodations for presenters who speak another language or communicate in another way. Please do not let the presentation or any accessibility barriers keep you from submitting a proposal!
You do not have to be a resident to submit an idea.
The top 4 ideas will be selected by our team 1 month ahead of each event. If you hear from us, you were selected to present your idea!
If you were not selected, your application stays in our system and you could be chosen for a future Spokane SOUP.
We highly suggest attending Spokane SOUP to get an idea of what projects are being considered!
You are limited to one proposal submission for each proposal window. If you submit more than one, we may have to remove both from consideration.
