How does Spokane SOUP work?

    • $15 admission gets you soup, salad, bread, and a VOTE.
People can pay more or less as they are able - we don’t want this to keep anyone away!

    • Sit with other community members as you listen to 4 idea proposals (these are just 4 minutes each).

    • The audience can ask 4 questions of each proposal.

    • Eat, discuss, and then VOTE.

    • The idea with the most votes wins the admission money pot to fund their idea!

    • Submit your idea proposal by August 8, 2025!

    • The 4 proposals that are selected will each have 4 minutes to share their idea to all in attendance. No audio or visual.
Interpretation available for anyone who needs it!

    • The audience will listen, eat, and VOTE.

    • The proposal with the most votes wins the door money! (Roughly $15 per person that attends)

    • Many connections can be made to fund ideas even if you don’t win. And if you aren’t selected this time, your proposal remains in our selection pool for future dinners!

  • Spokane SOUP exists to bring creative ideas to life in Spokane. One of the things that our planning team and so many who live in Spokane love most about being here is the strong sense of community. We know each other here. We are connected. We are creative. And sometimes we just need a little funding to make a beautiful idea come to life! SOUP exists to bring people together, create further connection, and to show the power of democracy in action. Our community is stronger when we work together toward positive change. We hope you’ll join us!
